Very Large Model: Setting the Messages

Let's take an example with two processes on a group
Let's focus on the group In, which integrates two processes:
  • Process 3, or Transfert1-Pusher1,
  • Process 4, or Input.

Three Units on a Process

This Process 3 consists on 3 units:
  • one conveyor-belt,
  • one silo for the cylinders with lamp and photo-transistor for detection, button and lamp 
  • one pusher to ease the way from one conveyor to the other.
 
The process 3 is consistent, it deals with all the aspects concerning entering one cylinder. Size and complexity are manageable.

Interactions Between Process 3 and Process 4

The process 3 Transfert2-Pusher2 analysis shows it's waiting at step 40 for process 4 Input = 0. Then it goes to step 50.

In this portion of code, the process 3 is waiting for sp4=0 i.e. process 4 to be free: the next conveyor-belt is free to receive the cylinder. 
The process 4 Input analysis shows at step 0 it's waiting for process 3 Transfert2-Pusher2 = 70. 
Then it goes to step 10.

Messages Consistency Matrix

In order to check both processes are working together, best solution is to draw a matrix:
  • Transfert2-Pusher2 is waiting for Input=0
  • Input is waiting for Transfert2-Pusher2=70
which is consistent with the code shown above.
The the low level END_Test_Value function reuses a previously developed function and combines 
  • check the Input equals Value,
  • emergency exit in case Fin is true.
