Industrial Colour Reader

After extensive testing of the true colour reader, I decided to put it in a nice box I could use on my models.

The selected box is the 9V battery case (reference and reference).

The connections remain the same. An Arduino board is required to convert I2C data from the sensor to data for the TX-C through an opto-isolator.

On an industrial line, the impact is significant.

The traditional colour reader on a conveyor belt line looks like this.

Unfolding the protection reveals the standard colour reader. 

The protection is needed to protect the colour reader from interferences caused by ambient lighting.

The true colour reader is more compact. A phototransistor checks to exact positioning of the cylinder under the colour reader.

The line is more compact.
