Projects

In anticipation of the 50th anniversary, I've presented three different versions of the same sliding door model:

• The first with elements from 1975, taken from the 200 + 200s + mot + ec boxes I used to play with... 35 years ago!
  
• The second around the RoboTX controller launched in 2009.
  
• The last one with the electronic module from the Profi Electronics box launched in 2014.
  

All three models share the same features: 

• a push button to open the door, 
  
• a period of wait 
  
• and a light barrier for security when closing the door.
  

The model built with components from 1975 uses the silver line modules. Everything works as the first day.  

This gives a clear idea of the quality of the fischertechnik elements, still fully functional 35 years after!

The model built with components from 2009 uses the RoboTX controller and a compressor.

The model built with the Profi Electronics set released in 2014 relies on a specific standard configuration of the electronic module .

Advanced Sensor

The RoboCAM memorises objects and colours, and provides the coordinates when it identifies them.

Here, the camera follows an object and mades continuous adjustments on both the vertical and horizontal axis.

The RoboCAM camera is connected to the RoboTX controller using the I²C bus.

How much power does my model use?

The smartMeter provides the answer with three measures: volt, amp and watt. 

It helps calculating how much power a model uses. This is especially useful for large models.

For example, 

• LED ~18 mA
  
• bulb lamp ~100 mA
  
• bulb lamp with lens ~150 mA
