Setting Bluetooth LAN with Multiple TX-Cs

The TX controller offers Bluetooth communication for advanced models. Here is the procedure I use to configure a Bluetooth LAN with multiples TX-Cs.

The multiple TX-Cs of an advanced model form a Bluetooth LAN. The TX-C number 2 acts as a server: it receives all the messages sent from the TX-Cs connected to the LAN and then dispatches them to the right recipients.

In case of running Windows on a Mac with VirtualBox, please use this utility for Bluetooth configuration first.

1. Look for Bluetooth Hardware

Check that all TX-Cs are recognised by Windows and paired with the PC.

2. Launch Robo Pro

Open Robo Pro and load all the files of the model. 

Here, the model consists on 4 TX-Cs, so there are 4 Robo Pro projects.

3. Analyse and Get the TX-Cs

Click on the blue  B  on the toolbar. A window pops-up; click on Analyse.

Robo Pro searches for all the TX-Cs. 

This may take a while.

The list appears. Check that all the TX-Cs are listed with an id and a name. 

Otherwise, launch again the analysis. There may be interferences, a TX-C may be too far.

4. Sort the List

For each TX-C, the ID is shown along the name and the radio number. Use the Up and Down buttons to sort the list.

5. Assign One Project per TX-C

For each TX-C, a Robo Pro project is assigned: select the first TX-C and click on Assign.

Pick the Robo Pro project file on the browser and click on Open.

Do the same for all the other TX-Cs.

Check the communication centre is the second TX-C on the list. The communication centre acts as a server: it receives and dispatches all the messages among the TX-Cs connected to the LAN.

Then click on Accept. It's finished!

6. Upload All the Projects At Once 

To upload all the Robo Pro projects of a multiple TX-Cs model, click on the underlined green circle  O  on the toolbar, check Upload all the Bluetooth projects and then on Accept.

Robo Pro is going to upload all the projects, one at the time, each one to the right TX-C.

7. Debug One Project at a Time

Now, for debugging, click on the COM/USB button on the toolbar, select the TX-C to be monitored, click on green circle O and finally on Accept.

Only one project can be debugged at a time.
